Not at Wrigley.

I do think they'll play at a baseball stadium somewhere next summer though. Maybe Fenway. I could see them doing one of these every year and just picking different parks.

They may try, but there's no way they're back within the next 5 years.

So perhaps it's been discussed before/elsewhere, but why is it so hard for them to play at Wrigley again if they wanted to? Scheduling be damned, I understand it's probably not easy, but if the "pedigree" had Jason Aldean playing the next night, surely this band has enough influence to do it, yeah? I mean, they let them keep the show going until 2:00 am. It seems there's a fair amount of shows at the ball park each year.

Personally, if they did do it again in the next two years, I don't know if I could do it or not. Amazing performance, longest, weirdest night a concert ever. More brutal than seeing Slayer on the Reign in Blood tour 5 times in a row from the mosh pit. I know they'd want to make it up to fans and play that 41 song set list and upstage the last one's rain delay, but my god. Could I go back to Wrigleyville willingly? I'd need some distance first...

They put on very few shows there a year (the city limits it, correct?). I don't believe anyone has ever come back a second time, and I'm sure there are other huge acts that would be asked to play there next year before Pearl Jam would (U2 and the Stones come to mind). I would imagine another country megastar will play there next year as well (Kenny Chesney maybe...he's been one of the biggest touring acts in America for like seven years now), since Rascal Flatts, Brad Paisley, and Jason Aldean have all headlined there in the past few years.

THey limit it to 2-3/year because of the bad weather (insert obvious joke) and there's really only 1 good period in the summer to watch a show (All Star Break) without it completely destroying the field for the minor league team that plays a block a way.

Plus the residents here are trying to limit it from expanding, though it appears they have lost that and there will be a couple more added.

Those are kinda shitty pictures, not her best work. The shots I linked to off of flickr are far better, even with the watermark.

Dave Matthews played two nights in September 2 years ago, your argument is invalid.

watching just a very small part of the Cubs game last night there was no visible damage to the field. the metal tiles they lay down apparently work really well.

still not something a major league team wants to chance, and, you still only do have a few windows where it works... Allstar break (if theyre home/away before or after) or during a 10+ game road trip (which is only 1 or 2 during a season)

when PJ opened for the Stones in Pittsburgh back in 2005, I believe there was only a couple days between the show and the next Pirates home game and I remember players on both teams complaining about the field.

another reason I dont know if PJ would play it again right away? it wouldnt be that special of a moment then... I agree with the Fenway, or Yankee Stadium, or, Eddies apparent fav AL team, Minnesota?
