This will be better than The Last Jedi, but not as good as Rogue One.

I don't know, guys. That's the first Star Wars trailer in many years that didn't leave me numb with excitement.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Re: Star Wars: Han Solo (5/25/2018)
I’ve been saying it since day one it’s all down to him. So what we can see is it’s hitting big visually and probably is a great story but if he can’t bring it and 100% make you believe he’s Han, it’s fucked. Hopefully there’s enough good stuff going on on screen that you forget you’re menat to be looking at Han, but as stip said playing a younger version of a character we know inside out gives him a small crack to work in.
I’m not fully in but I have a semi semi.

Screenrant first out the gate with a completely inaccurate clickbait story about the falcon design being a plot hole. Proving they’re idiots, who can’t do research and don’t know what plot hole means.

I think JJ pulled it off perfectly with Star Trek. I know JJ is not the director here, but it does show that it is possible, stip wrote:thats a big ‘only thing’. MD is right - this will likely live or die on his performance. its doubly tricky because he needs to channel an iconic performance that we will expect to see reproduced while at the same time he isnt a fully formed han solo, so the direct comparison shouldnt be the standard we use.
thats a heavy lift that will require a lot of precision. i can understand why the actor was uneasy with an improvisational directorial style

I bet Alden Ehrenreich would have let Greedo shoot first.

Yep, and it's all subjective. I really liked R1, but wasn't crazy about TLJ (still only 1 viewing though). For me, I think I'll enjoy Solo, but that is probably partly due to my lowered expectations. For TLJ, I just KNEW I'd love it, but I didn't. I think Solo will be pretty good. By that, I think it will be fun and lighter than R1, but like others are speculating a little thin in the plot / character development department.Anders wrote:That doesn't really say much.darth_vedder wrote:This will be better than The Last Jedi, but not as good as Rogue One.
