They did an amazing job for about three seasons and then it all went to shit. Not coincidentally, GRRM stopped working on the show right when it started to suck.

Basically saying, "We know everyone thinks that TLJ under-performed but we don't think it did and we want to let everyone that we're please; so pleased in fact that we're announcing a SHIT TON of new stuff. There is nothing to worry about. Even if Solo tanks, it doesn't matter. Just know that all systems are go."
