I totally get that some people don't see it as an expense that they can stomach - shit, it's a 25 percent increase from just two years ago. But, that's basically the new normal for live events.
probably true, but none of those bands really put forth a "we care about our fans" image more than PJ
It's been years since they cared about shaking us down. Really, though, these prices are fine. $125 for a premium ticket is on the low side these days. I don't go to NFL games, but I've heard of people paying $100 just to park in a lot near the stadium.

I thought GA was awful at Wrigley last time. Some asshole pissed into a cup and then kicked it all over my shoes. I was in reserved row 2 behind ga the next night and had a great time.

i went to 2-3 of their shows in the ga sections of the arenas, and one 2 years ago in wrigley. the arena shows were fine. and while wrigley wasn't bad for us (we were center, about 20 yards from the stage), it could've been bad because there's so much real estate off to the sides. ga shows always give me anxiety though, with me not knowing what time to stand in line beforehand or leaving to take a piss or grab a beer.

you must've been pretty close to us. we sat behind ed's wife and kids in row 2 dead center in front of the mixing booth.

This is my first go in the lottery, when do the numbers start changing usually?

They are updated pretty frequently, but don't expect big jumps until tomorrow.

I wish these shows weren’t 7 years after the ticket sale.

Huh. Guess people are taking a few days this time due to the cost

I mean, these prices aren’t really that outrageous. Kind of the going rate these days. The difference I guess is that in past years PJ was always less than the going rate.

PJ is really the only concert I really look forward to these days, so while a lot of people seem jaded I’m pretty psyched for these shows.

Is this it for shows this year? I know there were some rumblings of west coast USA in October/November, but that seems to have died down.

The next arena leg won't happen until after the next album is released.

I'm right there with you, but the total price (tickets + flight + hotel = ~$1800 for two people) is at the point that gives me pause.

Now I just need to stop obsessively checking the lotto odds. (If they put a banner ad on there it would fund the next record.)

Yeah I’ve checked it a bunch of times as well. I keep expecting the shows to drop under 99 but hasn’t happened yet.

I get it that the price is in line with other big acts. What I don't like is that they are stadium shows, which generally tend to suck for sound. So it feels first like they are doing a few shows here just to quiet the fanbase, so let's do them in big venues so more people can come, great! Oh by the way

$250 $250 $250 $250 $250 $250 $250 $250 $250

I’d love for them to start playing Mansfield again, but it seems like Fenway is going to be the Boston venue going forward.
