He's been doing these weird adjustments to syntax since S/T
But I think in this case he wants a rhyme for you and me

Yes, I relistened and it very much sounds like 'but you don't know where from she was thrown'. Also, the next line seems to be 'like a burning meteor'.

The wait for the last album drove me mad. This one's boring as hell.

Absolutely. That countdown clock is utterly pointless. I have always been excited for albums in the past (still am for this one), but it's so strange hearing nothing about it.
You have to shave your nipples if you want to be with me.
And to look at the clock is just dispiriting. We'll get no more live performances until release date so unless anything else leaks by accident, there's nothing to wait for. Which might've been the case anyway, but at least without a countdown clock you maintain the mystery.

nothing to wait for? we are waiting for the album, and im guessing they will reveal the tracklist soon.

No, I mean in the interim. If there was no countdown clock we could speculate on getting the tracklist, but I don't think there's any reason to think we'll get it before October 14th officially. They're not going to release some things via countdown clock and other things without it, are they?

I'm still wondering if the whole countdown shtick is alluding to something beyond a marketing chest puff.
There's the dog. You can't fake that stuff. Confess with your mouth.

i guess in about a month or so we are going to get the full tracklist and the real artwork.
I'm pretty late to this party. Let me put out there that I LOVE this song. It is exactly what I want Pearl jam to sound like. I'm really glad this is on the record and glad that I'm going to be able to see this one live.

I think it's the real artwork. I just wonder if the countdown is a theme or could they could something else.
Maybe it's when 10c goes public.

Up here so high the sky I scrape.
Oh yeah. Weird syntax.

I didn't see it discussed in this thread (could have missed it), but Ed sure seems to be expecting more from Mike there going into the ending. I don't recall seeing him curse in Mike's direction before.
I'm liking this song more and more.

Yup. I'm looking forward to hearing it as they intended it to sound.

I think you'll discover that LB Live at Wrigley is pretty close to how it's intended to sound.

Can we not do this again? I've done this too many times.

So, I'm not listening to this or the other new one until I get the album version as I'm not sure if live versions are the best introduction to a song. Am I missing much?
