Yes.

I feel like she has to share an equal burden and amount of blame, but she might agree.
She would absolutely agree, I think. Yes.

Alternate opening for TFA. This is really cool.

I love Rey, I thought she was a sand person at 1st.

Huh. I like the call back, but I think it would have given those "it's just A New Hope" detractors more ammo.

Without a doubt. But it would have been a cleaner intro to Rey maybe? Though I love her into in the film. She doesn’t even speak for ten or fifteen minutes I think?

Better either than the disastrous Tumbling saber in space idea. I truly believe that idea was only dropped cos it leaked so early.

Just watched a new hope and Only 20 minutes into this and I just enjoy it more than the last Jedi.
Is TLJ is an objectively better film? I don’t care. This one feels like Star Wars and I know TLJ grows out of that and develops the whole. But there’s a natural sense of fun and adventure in this that is the true spirit of Star Wars.

I can’t wait to see 9 and have these three lined up and meshed into one.

There is no such thing as "objectively better" film.

According to forge forums I’m on, there is. I won’t bore you with it.

I just have a better time and better feeling watching this one.

I hope episode 9 comes along and goes next level. JJ can do it. I believe in him.

Compared to TLJ, it’s more fun, has more pure action, has better chemistry between the actors, and makes better use of its legends. Only Adam Driver is vastly improved in TLJ, and having more Mark Hamill is a big bonus. As for TFA, it’s a shame about Starkiller Base and not explaining Rey a little better. Still a good movie.

my complaints with tfa is pretty much the script. It really similar to ANH and it doesnt bother to explain a lot of things.

But looks awesome and yes, the chemistry between the actors is better.

Rey was perfectly depicted tho Anders. Her story and Daisy’s performance are unimpeachable. Setting her up as a mystery. Rian went a different direction with her. Fine.
Hey my house JJ will roll that back and answer it all and give her / us the answers she wants.

You know, i dont know. I agree with you to an extent, but I also feel that JJ respects Rian Johnson enough to not completely ignore what he brought to the table. I can't see him, as an artist, to throw shade to Rian Johnson. I think as sci fi directors, there is a level of respect and admiration.

I dont know. Im buzzed.

The poll above states (DcT) edition. What's that?

If this were the olden days, we'd be nearing Episode 8 release this December :)

I wasn't telling RM whether or not I liked the movie for a while. So Stip added that to the poll when he added different options. It's just a little RM joke.
