The sports aren't as interesting and not nearly as many countries/athletes compete. Hard to relate to most of the sports if you don't grow up in cold weather climates or live in the freaking mountains.

Winter Olympics generally have much more entertaining competitions to watch. Fuck track and field events, give me sledding races any day.

Track and field requires way more athletic prowess than most winter games with the exception of maybe cross country skiing.

Biathlon and nordic combined are even more difficult. You have to be near the top in two sports at once, leading you to being the best in a combined event.

Speed Skating is just brutal.

Just caught the Mens slopestyle snowboard. Super fun sport to watch. Kid from USA won the gold on the last run but Canada got silver and bronze. Way to go Team!
