It seems like pretty classic petulant and juvenile Billy Corgan behaviour. He doesn't want to be the bad guy who says "you're out of the band", so he'll just engineer the situation to exclude her and then frame it as though she was never going to have a significant role anyway. Then if she blows up at him, "woah, look at the crazy lady over here".

Yep. He had his mind made up from the get-go, and his wording reads as very sneaky and disingenuousBirds in Hell wrote:I don't know, that series of messages reads to me as if Billy has already pre-determined that her role will be relatively minor, like an occasional guest appearance, which is pretty unfair given her history with the band. You misread the mom text. She was saying she didn't want to be rude to her mom by texting while they were spending time together.VinylGuy wrote:I think she is the kind of person who always puts excuses...she seemed to have a should injury, then she couldnt leave the house because of her mother...Billy comes off as reasonable in those texts.
Anyway, im exited about Billy and James playing together...fuck those 3 guitars sound really cool!!
The shoulder thing does seem like an excuse, though... for Billy.

I just don't see this as any different than the other crappy tours Billy has put together. Does James Iha really move the needle into cavernous arenas territory? The man barely played on the records!!

I would gladly pay $20 to see this show when it comes through my town. $30? Most likely pass.

Why is anyone excited about this? Corgan was always the core of the band, so a reunion of the nearly-original 'lineup' doesn't sound too exciting. Plus modern day Smashing Pumpkins are one of the most atrocious live bands out there. The contempt Billy Corgan has for his audience is beyond words.

I just can't fathom who is actually going to come out to the united center and watch them, and they're from Chicago. These arenas are going to be empty.

I'm sure that's what the face will be. Am expecting many $20 & lower tix to be available week/day of.

I was hoping there would be a date in New Orleans this summer. I'd love to go but not to the point where I'd drive to Houston.

For Boston, it's listed as $29 (almost certainly upper, upper balcony) to $125 (floor, I assume).swan wrote:verb_to_trust wrote:What are prices? 100 a head at least?swan wrote:I would gladly pay $20 to see this show when it comes through my town. $30? Most likely pass.
