Iron Man 3 was ok, Dr Strange fucking kicked ass.
I'm the opposite. I love Iron Man 3. Dr. Strange was good, but I haven't been drawn back to it.

I think my favorite part of that movie was Wong. I hope we get more of him going forward

I have a hard time seeing how these both look the same, other than the fact that the same people appear in both. There are a lot of pretty striking and out there shots and visuals we've seen in the trailers
In terms of lighting, blocking, framing, shot composition, production design, color palette, etc. these adhere pretty closely to Marvel's "house style". That's not a value judgement (I think the house style sucks but that's beside the point), it is just very aesthetically uniform. Black Panther just has a bit of afrofuturism thrown in.

I hope this Chadwick Boseman never #meetoo'd anyone. This movie looks pretty badass.

I thought this was really good apart from the standard Marvel bullshit big fight at the end. Michael B. Jordan is awesome. There is a shot of him midway through that literally made me laugh out loud with how diabolical it was. I need to go watch Creed now.

Yeah I have zero desire to see this. It looks like every other boring, empty Marvel movie.

I also have free tickets. And I won't be posting about it if I hate it, because apparently this movie is so good that if you hate it you'll be racist. I actually read that today, btw.

Surely some of these critic reviews are overblown? It sounds like it's the next best movie behind The Godfather at this point according to the critics. Definitely interested to hear feedback from folks on the board--was gonna wait till next weekend (maybe) to give this a go....
