And it's not like these weapons were being used in violent crimes. They were being made to make petty property crimes easier UNTIL Spiderman got involved, there was no indication anything even violent was being attempted. And it's likely damage control didnt even notice the stuff that was missing given how Vulture was stealing it (sneaking into sealed trailers through that portal).

And one of my favorite things about this movie was that it wasn't end of the world stuff. It was a small time regular guy criminal going too far to provide for his family who didnt have any intent of violence really until the absolute very end of the movie. The world wasn't going to end because of the vulture.

It's almost as if he wasn't even a villain until he vaporized the shocker

Or wait, was he selling some of those weapons to terrorists??

I'd say it's good, not great. And a good part of why I enjoyed it is that it's just so much better than some of the previous Spider-Man movies. I found it refreshing on that score. Also, I loved the non-origin story. And Tom Holland is pretty charming.

I'd say it's good, not great. And a good part of why I enjoyed it is that it's just so much better than some of the previous Spider-Man movies. I found it refreshing on that score. Also, I loved the non-origin story. And Tom Holland is pretty charming.

I like both the first movies of the last two Spidermans. Garfield was perfect for the role, even if the stories were so so, while the first Maguire movie was solid all the way.

I liked Garfield a lot, too. I wish they had made better use of him.

Holland is a megastar in the making.
He’s in a really good Irish film called the Pilgrimage and I was delighted to see past the likeable charming kid and see he actually can act and has range.
Worth a watch.

Laughed a few times, but felt the movie had little going for it. Spider-Man was just some kid that needed Iron Man to build his suit. The lead actor was nothing special. His friends had more charisma.

Didn't mind the low stakes, although the plot in general was underwhelming.

Keaton was great, and while not given much to do, Tomei stole every scene she was in.

Bottom three MCU movie for me.

Saw Ant-Man last Sunday, and think it was miles better.
