If it's as good as Love Boat Captain I'll take it.

i think the same person who said there was a song called sirens is the one that said there would be a reworked uke song, so i still think it will be there

I'm going to be very disappointed if there's an Eddie Uke song on there. I'm also getting more worried this is going to be Backspacer-esque. Hearing Cold Conf(c)ession and knowing it and songs like it might have nothing do to with LB has me concerned. I almost liked it better when CC existed solely as an imaginary song title.

Why is the reworked uke song pissing everyone off so much? I genuinely don't get it.

i will still hold judgement on the possible uke song until i hear it, i dont love the idea of one of the new songs being a song already released on another album, but cant keep is so good with the full band compared to the ed solo uke version, so they could make it great.

Ed -> PJ songs haven't had the best track record recently.
It would be more disappointing than anything. I'd like 12 fresh songs after this amount of time.
There's the dog. You can't fake that stuff. Confess with your mouth.

We've waited 4 years for a new PEARL JAM record with new PEARL JAM songs, not an EV song from 13 years ago reworked.
Infallible is actually the first song in a trilogy of songs about Jill. The second one has yet to be identified. But Future Days has been confirmed as the closing song of the Ode to Jill.

We have no idea which songs have their origin in a 13 year-old Ed song though. Do you think most of the new stuff (or anything, really) was entirely made new, in a vacuum? They've always used old ideas.

Isn't there a possibility it could have been written with the band during those sessions right after backspacer, and then ed put his demo/uke version on the uke album?
Still, its a song we've heard already and i remember reading it was sleeping by myself thats gonna be on there, which.....meh.
Uke Songs was a bunch of songs Ed wrote on an instrument he plays around on for fun. I'm not surprised that some of these songs are sketches in his own mind, and Uke Songs was just that until he decided to release them on an album because fans asked him to.

I'm not excited by that prospect either. But, the uke version is only 1:50, so there's plenty of room to develop it if that's the one that makes the ablum.

It's one of the best songs on there. If Matt plays it with brushes (unlikely but we'll see) and Mike plays slide guitar or something on there, it could be pretty nice imo.

Rent a mansion with Rick Rubin, smoke some pot, write songs together for a month and release it.
This idea is getting a little too familiar on the internet.

A Pearl Jam song from 13 years ago is probably better than one that's made a year ago.
