Awolnation? That shit is utter garbage, I fucking love live music too but they sound like a dorky studio concoction of 2010s laptop "rock".

Metallica announces a tour tomorrow. :haha:

Other than Sleep, it's all been big names like Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, Slayer retirement tour and now Metallica announcing shit so far this year, I guess I know I'm getting old when I'm keeping my pockets barren to see 55 year olds playing 30 year old songs.

Nice. How was AWOLNATION? I’ve been tempted to see them before but never have.

Well, they're shit if you listen to jammer. But live, they are so much fun. He really gets the crowd into the whole show, and they are much, much, heavier live than anything studio. I've seen them a few times before, and last night didn't disappoint

I don’t own an album, and I only know a handful of their songs, but I saw a 30-40 minute live show on Palladia TV several years ago and I thought that was fucking great. It’s always made me interested in seeing them live. It seems like I’ve got even more reason now. I also can see how an album of theirs would be much less impressive/enjoyable (or whatever). I’ve got a buddy that’s always been interested in seeing their show too. Maybe this time around we’ll go.

Disagree. The excitement of anticipation deserves its own space. It’s more frequently the best part.

Somehow I ended up at the Ed Sheeran show tonight. He's pretty talented and does amazingly well holding a stadiums attention all on his lonesome.

I think I like two Ed Sheeran songs, and I’m embarrassed to admit that.

Ed sheeran played at the global citizen festival the same year as Pearl Jam. I thought he put on a good show despite not liking his songs.

Love the Mule. Warren Haynes is a fucking god.
I have always wanted to see them and I am finally going. I have been binging on them for the past two weeks as the anticipation already builds.

I am definitely trolling the Capitol Theatre listings since it is 20 mins from my house and they get great bands in a 1800 capacity theater with great sound.

I’ve seen the Mule 3 times. The absolute best was on my birthday a few years back. Couldn’t find anyone to go with me so I flew solo. Killer set list and guests and ended up with a fifth row ticket. What a great show. You’ll love them.

Got Pumpkins in Denver...

APC doesn't look like it will work out...

Not too excited about either.

They were on the bill at a festival a few years back and played maybe a 7-8 song set at Key Arena. I left to get food when they started. The food situation was an absolute disaster, took forever, and they ran out of everything. I believe I ended up with a pretzel and cannot remember if it was salted or if they ran out of that, too. Anyway, it kept me from having to watch Awolnation so it actually worked out nicely.
