I dunno, I think that interview got me more excited and optimistic. If I hear "longer songs" and "More depth", then it sounds to me like something I've been hoping for. I also like the thought of a long 70-minute album, with some more trippy songs, but you need more than one 5-minute track to make that happen.

I'd say that was likely. I would conceivably call that pop, in the sense that you could call Pink Floyd's catchiest stuff 'pop'.
