It would also set her up for the general audience and get them familiar with her and her backstory and relationship with Anakin.

Obviously Star Wars fans know who she is. Joe Smith cinema goer has no idea who she is.

This could fix that and also be an entry into whatever series they’re doing.

Have you not noticed that since collider got sold he’s walking back EVERY position he had?
He was almost calling for Kathleen Kennedy to be fired and trying to soften it by saying replace her with Filoni.

He seems to have been really disappointed by TLJ and is open about disliking R1 so I wouldn’t say he’s much of a guide.

Napzok also said he’s heard there’s a finished script for it and they’re just setting up hires and probably announcing after Solo. So let’s see.

If Solo tanks a Kenobi announcement would get pretty much all fandom back on board.

All I know is that I want Ahsoka to appear on screen in a live action film at some point and I think a Kenobi movie would be perfect.
