Re: The Running Thread
Kaius, I'll do 300 push ups for every mile you run. 10:00 pace minimum.
I'll do up to 1,000 in an hour.
Join the RM Strava group and GPS it on your phone.
I'll record it and share it through my Drive account.

And I’ll run a mile for every minute you last with me in a grappling match, hot stuff.

Re: The Running Thread
t2b, I respect your ability to run miles upon miles without rest day after day. I really do. I hate running and I’ve nver been great at it. But I am good at grappling. I’m addicted to Gracie jiujitsu. I have found my own fitness hobby and passion.
The push up challenge thread was a harmless attempt to get internet junkies to focus on a simple exercise for a month and hopefully spark in them an interest in finding their own fitness passion if they didn’t already have one. Your participation in that thread was off-putting to say the least. So I trolled your sanctuary thread. Simple as that. Now you’ve made me break character. I hope you’re happy.
And there’s no way we will ever meet but I would definitely destroy you in a grappling match if you don’t have AT LEAST 600-800 hours of experience. But you would also run around the earth before I made it across Indiana so there’s that.

Re: The Running Thread
That's fine. Good for you.
RM has a long history of people chiming in on bands, movies, etc., that they don't like. That's a tough lesson that I learn when people went in the old running thread day after day and month after month, before I bitched about it and Sarge outed me as a whiner.
I went into your push up thread just to make one point. I wasn't gonna linger. By and large people make their points and everybody goes on with their lives.
If durds is doing it to challenge himself, I'm happy for him and certainly understand that feeling.

Re: The Running Thread
And why is grappling any more meat head than another sport? If I challenged you fucks to a hockey match because I’d been playing for 10 years and knew you’d get embarrassed I wouldn’t get stereotyped

Re: The Running Thread
It's not.
Your reaction to my running/push up "challenge" post caught me off guard.
It seemed a little "meathead" to immediately challenge me to a direct physical confrontation.
I kinda forgot that's actually the sport your into.

It’s all good.
It does have that stigma attached to it though. I blame cage fighting.

Re: The Running Thread
That's fucking retarded.
There's obviously a lot of strategy, angles and physics involved in grappling. That's how the Gracies could take down people twice their size.

The techniques are fascinating. It goes back centuries. Maybe even millennia. Gracie’s were just “right time right place” imo.
