I can't listen to any Backspacer songs anymore. I used to like GSMF but even that has aged poorly. There are maybe three on LB I don't skip, but that's it. Couple that with the fact that there's no new music on the horizon, and it makes me sad. At least ST has aged great for me.

I was talking to this younger dude the other night over Indian food -- he works in music PR -- and we got to discussing Pearl Jam. He's a big fan, too, but his FIRST entry point to the band was the self-titled record. He went back from there, jumped to Ten and then proceeded in chronological order. Anyway, he loves S/T. I mentioned that it was the first PJ record that I had any issue with and that it wasn't so much the songs but the sound/production. He didn't seem to have those same issues.

He didn't really talk about Backspacer or Lightning Bolt much. He referred to himself as "a total Yield kid."
