Song is decent, production and overall vibe are better. Ed sounds great, the recording has more depth to it than anything on LB or BS. I like that the guitars feel looser, and the little cash register sounds are fun.

I just hope they don't blast those drum mics on every song on their next record, like a Black Keys album or something. Hopefully it's a stylistic choice that will be limited to this song.

Not an amazing composition, but overall a big step in the right direction after LB.
I like that it sounds as if stone and mike enjoy playing with each other again.
Agreed! Sounds like the band is having real fun, not the LB style of "fun."

The music feels more much raw and alive, but the lyrics are this.

I'm ok with these lyrics for a holiday single. Not so much for an album.

I'm also at work and can't listen yet but happy to see the positive feedback on the production. Perhaps they ditched BoB finally? One can hope, right?

Similar chords in the CDM verses to the WWS pre-chorus

afflicted with the same ‘Ed won’t stop constantly talking the whole track on top of every note’ problem that so much recent ‘punchy rock’ PJ suffers from

no attempt at a guitar solo

barely anything musically in this song other than that same crappy chord change over and over

Heard this on PJ radio earlier and it sounded much better than that mp3. Still a C-grade song, but not as bad that first listen yesterday

Catchy song but I'm indifferent to this album unless I hear Stone wrote 8 songs.
