Damn, this is horrible.

I've defended the last few albums quite a lot and feel like they were too underappreciated. I routinely find myself enjoying Backspacer and Lightning Bolt enough to appreciate them for what they are but THIS?! THIS IS PATHETIC.

Hi folks. Just listened to the new single so thought I'd share my initial feelings.

Opening verse, Ed sounds like Chris Cornell. I like that. I also like the fact that even though the song isn't that long, it moves along at a reasonable pace instead of million miles an hour which I don't like personally. Song has groove and Ed sounds cool; his vocal screams attitude. I like the contrast between the verses and the chorus. I would not like this song to be the musical template for a new album (I prefer fully fleshed out, 4-5 minutes songs) but it sounds fresh and I like most things about it after a few listens.

I knew I wasn't the only one! Perhaps this is a political Chris Cornell tribute. I'm digging it more with every listen. I'm down with this type of song more than Bushleaguer. Lyrics aren't as important as the way they're delivered. Something about the singing here that makes Ed sound young.

That's probably pretty close. The chorus lyrics need another pass but they're pretty close to being good. The verse has the Bu$hleaguer/No More problem (more the later) when Eddie feels so passionate about something so obvious that he has no artful way to phrase it.
