Trag and strat? Only new PJ would make this a better day on RM

Im thinking about going on a skin with my dog. Its cold/warm/clouy/windy.tragabigzanda wrote:Agreed! Sounds like the band is having real fun, not the LB style of "fun."Strat wrote:I like that it sounds as if stone and mike enjoy playing with each other again.tragabigzanda wrote:This warrants a posting!
Song is decent, production and overall vibe are better. Ed sounds great, the recording has more depth to it than anything on LB or BS. I like that the guitars feel looser, and the little cash register sounds are fun.
I just hope they don't blast those drum mics on every song on their next record, like a Black Keys album or something. Hopefully it's a stylistic choice that will be limited to this song.
Not an amazing composition, but overall a big step in the right direction after LB.
We are gearing up and hitting the slopes just as soon as I spin this new song one more time...Strat wrote:It is a crumby day in the mountains today.Bi_3 wrote:Trag and strat? Only new PJ would make this a better day on RM

The music feels more much raw and alive, but the lyrics are this.mkay0 wrote:Backspacer 3.0

I'm ok with these lyrics for a holiday single. Not so much for an album.Bi_3 wrote:The music feels more much raw and alive, but the lyrics are this.mkay0 wrote:Backspacer 3.0

I'm also at work and can't listen yet but happy to see the positive feedback on the production. Perhaps they ditched BoB finally? One can hope, right?

Re: 11th album rumors and speculation
afflicted with the same ‘Ed won’t stop constantly talking the whole track on top of every note’ problem that so much recent ‘punchy rock’ PJ suffers from
no attempt at a guitar solo
barely anything musically in this song other than that same crappy chord change over and over

Heard this on PJ radio earlier and it sounded much better than that mp3. Still a C-grade song, but not as bad that first listen yesterday

Re: 11th album rumors and speculation
Catchy song but I'm indifferent to this album unless I hear Stone wrote 8 songs.
