The Beach Boys work best as a compilation band. They don't have an album that's solid front to back. Not even Pet Sounds.
Think I’m going to try being kind to everyone a chance.

My wife has a profound fondness for Kokomo, and as such, it will always have a special place in my heart.

I’ve tried pretty hard and they’re just not my thing.

I dislike the Rolling Stones too.

With a few notable exceptions, David Bowie doesn’t do much for me either.

i'm with you on most of that. The Stones and Bowie are definitely singles artists for me. I can't sit through entire albums. except Hunky Dory, i love that album

My mom’s favorite band when I was a kid was The Beach Boys. We had Pet Sounds running on the turntable a lot at my house.

I’m of a like mind with the Stones and Bowie. I like Bowie more though. Same with The Who.

Not a big fan of the Stones. I like a handful of songs. I like the Beach Boys far more, but like the Stones, I'm more into singles than albums. Bowie, though... yeah, I goddamn adore David Bowie.

If I could redo the rolling Stones greatest hits double album, all but 5 or 6 songs will be from exile or sticky fingers

I would recommend Sticky Fingers, Exile on Main Street, Some Girls, Beggar’s Banquet, and Let It Bleed. Those all speak to their album crafting that I believe goes beyond just a collection of singles. Also when they were most challenging themselves without going off the deep end completely.

Maybe, but goddammit, they’ve sucked so incredibly hard since then.
I like a fair amount of Green.

It was my favorite song when I was like 3 years old. BTW, the best Beach Boys song is Heroes and Villains.

It's definitely up there and worthy of being in the conversation.
