Re: Make your ideal Pearl Jam tribute album
I'll put this out there at the risk of getting crucified for saying it...
I went like ten years without hearing You Oughta Know, and then when I heard it again a few years ago all I could think was "Wow, this song is actually kinda awesome." Flea & Dave Navarro sound better on that song than they did at any point on One Hot Minute. And the way she delivers that line about "I'm sure she'd make a really excellent mother" is pretty brutal. So yeah. That song rules. Whatever. Pearl Jam should cover it.

I remember seeing RHCP play that song live a decade ago. It was terrible.

I recall when it became apparent Flea was having a little solo spot everyone went crazy, then it just sucked the life out of the entire set after about 10 seconds. I was quite captivated by Frusciante's junk scarred arms though.

I just keep hearing those opening guitar chords played by Beirut's symphony of horns.

I think they'd do every number twice as slow but then I think they don't care much for any PJ materialThejambi wrote:I'd love to hear Tool do most of Binaural.
