I used to not be a fan, but I've warmed to Marker quite a bit recently. Live versions really help to make the transition from the verse to the chorus sound more natural.

Unemployable and Army Reserve

The run of the first 3 songs here is one of my all time favorites, and I have a feeling they are going to start disappearing

Parachutes and Come Back are great, too. I feel like the core ideas in Severed Hand and Marker are there, but they never quite come together the way I want them to. They both need to sound richer and fuller. Marker would have been better on Yield, and Severed Hand on Vs. or Vitalogy. Honestly, even Lightning Bolt would have been a better place for them

I get the appeal of it. I've just always thought there was too stark a disconnect between the verse and chorus. Marker suffers from the same thing for me. Feels like two songs spliced together.

But WWS is the best song on this album. A top 10 PJ song for me. Was top 5 once upon a time.
