Small Town is a top 10 song for me. Simple composition, great lyrics, beautiful performance, and an early showcase for Ed's emotional depth in his character pieces.

I don't hate it, but I just happen to like the other remaining songs more. I think I even like Glorified G more than Elderly Woman. Basically what I am saying is Vs. is a pretty strong album.

i wonder how people's perceptions of live versions of songs play into their thinking here.

for instance, i love the studio version of elderly woman, particularly in the context of where it falls among the other Vs songs in the tracklist. but it's been played TO DEATH, with most of those versions being pretty crappy over the past decade or so. It's hard to reconcile those two thoughts.
