We’ve had a young Leia book and a Leia book setting up the resistance. Both great and by the same author. I think and hope she writes a book about Leais last days. Way more fitting than showing her die or recasting her.

I was initially against a recasting of Leia (I think) but if you got the right actress I suppose it could potentially works. Only worth doing if Leia is really at the core of the story. If it is as a secondary supporting character I'd just as soon write around her.

I guess do you feel more loyalty to the character (Leia) or the actress in the role (Carrie Fisher)

BY all accounts 9 was to be Leais film.

I think the vast majority of people would have loyalty to carrie. There’d be genuine and valid outrage if they recast.
