Barrel Theory is absolutely worth checking out. Easily a top five area brewery for me, and I’ve been to more than my fair share.

The food and beer scene in this town has gone crazy over the last couple of years. The breweries are off the charts. It’s pretty awesome.Strat wrote:You know, I only get back so much during the year. Re: Avocado Demos II leak!
I can't find that interview with Mike where he talks about the possibility of an EP from these sessions.
But I did found this:
Seems they had enough material leftover for some sort of release....
Too bad it never made it.
I want Lost Dogs II now! Cause Im pretty sure it will be better than album #11 aka Backspacer #3
But I did found this:
From an interview with Danny Clinch (http://www.twofeetthick.com/2007/09/27/ ... interview/)JR: Pearl Jam is the first record that hasn’t had a b-side so we’ve wondered where are some of these extra cuts.
And there’s more to that story that I’m not going to tell you.

Re: Avocado Demos II leak!
Finally getting through these now.
I think there’s a lot of space for vocals on most of these that are instrumental. I am very impressed with 2x4, Rearranged Furtniture, and Rearranged Priorities. The Only Cloud in the Sky is good but probably would not benefit from vocals and works great as instrumental. I think the rough mixes of Severed Hand and The Bigger the Wave are inferior to the final version, and the same with Life Wasted save for the outro which is so much better than the fade out in the album.
10 Billion Years works great as a Stone vocal songs, but maybe with reworked lyrics.
On Lucky 13 now. I like it. Can’t remember another Pearl Jam song where they tried out this kind of percussion but it’s an interesting change I would have loved them to explore.
Breeze in D time. Would have also had a lot of potential. Thought it would stay slow but it is taking so many interesting turns. I wish they did more with this!
It’s nice to hear something new given it has been so long. But this is the sort of realistic stretching out I wish they would do more of nowadays.
