I'm sure he understands that a police officer is very different than armed, overworked, underpaid teachers. OK, maybe he's not THAT different.
Or, topical to the Florida shooting, the SRO in Baltimore actually did their job. Its not clear that the shooter had additional targets in mind, but staying true to the normal script, they shot themselves as soon as they were confronted by an armed individual.

And the shooter in Florida no doubt never dreamed that he'd get that far , going to McDonald's , then Walmart , then an hour later just walking down the street. La-dee-da
If he dreamed that he would have actually made it out at all alive, I'm sure his plan would have included, um, ducking into a house

The student also used a Glock. A bit different than a AR-15.

There is a particularly weird narrative that because the Parkland shooter had an AR-15 that this excuses the cowardice of the SRO and other deputies on site. I don't get it.
The difference of outcomes is related more to the proximity of the SRO to the shooter and the response taken rather than the weapons used.
Also, to roll my original post back a bit, more recent reports suggest that maybe the SRO shot the guy and that he didn't shoot himself. Rather irrelevant, either way.

Republicans won't do anything. Still gonna have to wait until we get more Dems in office. And even they tend to be giant pussies when it comes the Second Amendment, so...
