I put Stupid Mop too, but it's one saving grace is Jack's drumming. He's got a pretty cool thing going on there.bodysnatcher wrote:5 songs with Jack? Unacceptable.durdencommatyler wrote: Stupid Mop

So,
"Pre-PRAMG" (Post Riot Act Money Grab)", means pre-post-Riot Act, so Riot Act is included here. Kinda like the Pre- and Post- cancel each other out and means Riot Act and earlier.
Ah, OK.

Re: Ten Worst Pre-PRAMG PJ Songs
I actually like the majority of the songs on my list, Stupid Mop, included. Habit, Comatose and Swallowed Whole are probably the only Pearl Jam songs that I don't care for and always skip.darth_vedder wrote:I put Stupid Mop too, but it's one saving grace is Jack's drumming. Although, I've always loved Olympic Platinum. It was one of the very few glimpses into PJ having a sense of humor. At that point, it was what.... just Dirty Frank? of course they had Evil Goat, Touch Me I'm Dick, and a few others. But it was 1996, and we (or, the vast majority of we) didn't know those existed. Olympic Platinum was almost a breath of fresh air, considering how depressive the years leading up to it were.

I understand what you're saying, and I agree. But it doesn't make it a good song. Something different is always something good. I like Olympic Platinum for what it is. But it's not a fantastic piece of art that deserves to be put on a pedestal, by any means. It's a fun, goofy, snarky, jab that is a good listen once every four years.

I'm not sure you understand how the Olympics works.bodysnatcher wrote:durdencommatyler wrote:I understand what you're saying, and I agree. But it doesn't make it a good song.
