"Life Wasted" is a musically braindead song with terrible lyrics and I'm glad it's gone YOU'RE ALWAYS SAYING THAT THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG

life wasted has some pretty good lyrics, but that is not a good opening line for sure

"I've seen the home inside your head, all locked doors and unmade beds" is a particular strong lyric

"You're always saying that there's something wrong.
I'm starting to believe it's you're playing along.
Death came around, forced to hear its song
And know tomorrow can't be depended on"

The whole opening verse is terrible

The whole opening verse is terrible
I always thought it was "I'm starting to believe it's you're plan along."

That makes it 100% better.

I think it's "it's your plan all along", and the lyric site I copied that from is wrong

Life Wasted is great. Stone’s chunky, lopsided AC/DC chording during the verses, the transition into the bridge, the bridge itself - all excellent stuff.

The interesting thing about the laugh is you can faintly hear it on the rough mix version, suggesting it may have been inadvertently recorded during initial tracking (i.e. it can’t have been part of the main vocal take.)

Life Wasted gets better every year. Doesn’t happen to a lot of songs.
