No Code wishes it had a song as good as Tremor Christ. Those songs almost completely lack the jagged edges of TC

Tremor Christ is the best song on the album.

I know I'm in dangerous territory here, even if I do believe that Last Exit is a great song. But is it maybe (just maybe) a few percent overrated? Only when compared to the absolute best of the Pearl Jam songs.

Probably, but it is one hell of an openers and perfectly captures the spirit/intentions of the album after it.

It has a cool riff, a cool rhythm, good lyrics ("look ma watch me crash" notwithstanding) and great performances all around. It's really only let down by its non-bridge. I like it a lot. It's definitely better than "Immortality" which is a maudlin, self-serious, amelodic slog.
