the new 52 was DC restarting their multiverse a couple of years ago, 52 titles all kinda in the same time period. and for me an easy place to get started since i hadnt read any comics before, so them all starting at #1 made it easy for newbys

Sorry Batman/Superman #1. Greg? Pak is writing Jae Lee does art. Lee did amazing art for some of the Dark Tower comic adaptions.

Is that something i should pick up? Im still way behind, still working on #16s for the dc stuff, and haven't read a marvel book in months, but if its supposed to be real good i may pick it up for later

52 comes from what DC labeled all their other worlds. earth -1, earth-2, earth prime etc

Captain Marvels and his friends were from one earth

the justice society was a separate earth

the used crisis on infinite earths to narrow that all down and make it so there was just one earth and then all the varied origins would be melded (the huntress for example was the daughter of batman and selina kyle, but was from a seperate earth). it should be noted barry allen was killed saving the one true earth....

Then there was infinite crisis which saw superboy (prime) and alexander luthor (not to be confused with lex) try to bring back their earth- 2. this in turn caused all 52 earths to return and they all co-existed in the same space at a different vibrational frequency.

the flash in a fit of anger went back in time to save his mother from being killed and re-wrote history. this is the new 52.

Great comics this week. I don't even want to pick a favorite. I'm going to re-read a bunch of these.

I haven't read it yet but i did pick up the batman and superman comic. I want to read something for superman and haven't been thrilled with superman or justice league in the new 52 so i hope this batman and supes book works

Yes and it's pretty darn cool! Its borderline complete fan service (I guess we could discuss that after you read it) but I really liked it a lot. Superman Unchained is cool so far too. If you want a cool Superman story have you tried that Injustice series? (I can send it to you digitally if you want).

I'm also hoping the new Superman/Wonder Woman series will be cool.

I just got around to reading this that was out two weeks ago. Enjoyed it like how we get to see the build up of how the villians try and pull off their heist before Spider-Man catches them. First issue was really humorous.

I still collect nothing but Daredevil comics. I'm looking to branch out, but whenever I have money, it's DD I spend it on.

That came out this week....7/31/13. Anyways I didn't care for it. If you want it to be the pick this week go for it nothing really stood out this week for me.
