Hey guys, just so you know... it's nothing personal and has absolutely nothing to do with the people who poster here on RM... but I'm about done with Star Wars fans and pundits, in general. I expect I'll still post frequently, but if you see a big drop off in my contributions just know that it's because I'm angry and disappointed in internet culture and YouTube and all the bullshit. It's not about RM. I just can't take whiny "fans" anymore. It's so completely stupid.

Completely agree with you. Strangely enough RM is the only place I enjoy talking about it.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VIII: The Last Jedi -spoilers start 3
I watched the Director and the Jedi last night.
Incredible.
While the stuff with Hamill and Luke's character, Carrie Fisher, Frank Oz, et al., was riveting, what really amazed me more than anything was the sheer scale of the production and the scheduling chops required to pull off this movie and have it be so compelling.
When Rian and his producer talk about having to come back down to "reality" after this movie, it can't be appreciated without understanding it to this level of detail. It exceeds superlatives for me, and makes the intimacy of the movie all that more impressive. Rian struck a perfect balance between the smallness of individual characters and the magnificent scale of the world they were in.

People who think Rian's trilogy is never gonna happen need to watch The Director and the Jedi and pay attention to how much Kathleen Kennedy adores him.

The Last Jedi is so good!
I might need to put it in the #2 spot behind Empire.
