this album is useful to stick under wobbly tables and chairs

Parachutes is best. I would not have expected Marker to be on this Top 2 list

Re: S/T Survivor: Album Finals
As with NC and Vitalogy, these are my favorite two songs on the album. I guess I'll have to vote Parachutes, but I'm not confident at all in that decision.

Parachutes by a country mile.
Marker is not only the best song on this record but top shelf PJ in general. Parachutes, while lovely, isn't as compelling or moving.

Marker is the most Riot Act-y song on the album.

Every time I listen to "Parachutes" I am blown away by how beautiful, melodic and musically interesting song it is. It's a very carefully composed song and Ed shines in it. Even though it employs some cool rhythmic tricks, the whole thing just feels effortless and breezy. "Marker" is a cool verse stuck to a limp, uninteresting chorus with a super plain melody and where the strain in writing really shows. "Parachutes" is the much better song.
