I’ve definitely seen making of docos that have turned me off the film. Sometimes you shouldn’t see how the sausage gets made or know anything about the behind the scenes stuff. It can stain your enjoyment of the film. Finding out Sigourney weaver hating the kid who played newt bummed me out. Pretty much every film Christian bale is in was ruined for me after finding out what a colossal cunt he is on set to everyone. Etc

I haven't seen the so-called doc, but my intuition tells me Disney has it shining the best of possible lights on every aspect of making this movie.

I like the film in the first view but i hated a lot of rian´decisions with the humor and Luke specially. In the second view it didnt bother me that much and i appreciate his intentions.
Im expecting to be blown away in this third view.

the "humor" pissed me off even more in subsequent viewings.
Especially that "Holding for General Hux" shit at the beginning. Just awful.

How about the bombs falling as if there's gravity? There's a long list of retarded moments in this movie.

See I think if you get hung up on something like that you’re missing what happens directly afterwards. I’m not gonna let a crap joke derail an amazing sequence for me. If I did, hundreds of amazing films with corny jokes placed poorly to lighten an intense scene, would be closed off to me.

Bombs fall in empire strikes back. In zero gravity.
How about the space wizard who can project his likeness across space?
Or all the explosions and whooshing space ships?
Why am I bothering, do Fuck off.

I'm not a big fan of any other Star Wars movie, either... but this movie comes off as more disjointed than the rest. It definitely feels like a movie by committee. Sorry you're heated. I'm glad you enjoy it.dimejinky99 wrote:tree_ wrote:How about the bombs falling as if there's gravity? There's a long list of retarded moments in this movie.

It didn't make me think any different about what happened next. But it is an awful attempt at humor, and very misplaced for that scene/situation.dimejinky99 wrote:See I think if you get hung up on something like that you’re missing what happens directly afterwards. k have a feeling all th humour is aiming for Han ‘we’re all fine here...how are you.....*blast* boring conversation anyway’. That kind of thing. I’m with you. Sometimes it doesn’t land. But it does often too.
My biggest peeve was Yoda saying ‘Page turners they were not’. That’s just TOO real world and current vernacular to ever be in Star Wars. But I got over it.

It’s definitely definitely not movie by committee. Watch the Director and the Jedi. You’ll see it’s all Johnson and pretty much in control and final say on absolutely every single decision. Down as far as tiny little details you’ll never even see like background extras and props.
