I keep buying burgers from Wendy's, and they don't buy anything from me. When is Trump going to hit them with tariffs to rectify this egregious trade deficit?4/5 wrote:Can we please officially change the term "trade deficit" to "goods surplus"?? Actual headlines today: "president tired of being told no by chief of staff," and "Trump stops reading speech, complains it is boring."

What? That works. B is running a trade deficit with Wendy's. He's probably running a trade surplus with his employer, though. Clearly Wendy's needs to stop taking advantage of poor B by givng him food in exchange for his money and B obviously needs to stop exploiting his employer by taking money in exchange for his labor.cutuphalfdead wrote:ummB wrote:I keep buying burgers from Wendy's, and they don't buy anything from me. You just made an assumption because it was B. Admit it.

In the broad spectrum of assumptions, assuming I'm wrong, is a pretty safe one.

They’ve been asking people on Fox to say things they want him to hear, because he’ll only listen to the tv.96583UP wrote:i don't get itBi_3 wrote:

On that note, I was just on another site and people were moaning about how sick of politics they are. Not, like, sick of specific events. Just that old fashioned, 1990’s-level, “I hate politics it’s so miserable and everybody is equally bad and nothing ever changes” stuff.
Politics has kinda always been my bread and butter, but I just can’t imagine feeling that brand of malaise right now. Panic, anger, hope, etc, sure...but you are living through history. These are moments that reset the course, for the better or the much worse. People are suffering because of these changes already, never mind what might happen tomorrow. I can’t imagine feeling like basic engagement is too much to ask of you. I just can’t.
