Pretty sure I've never once misunderstood a Pearl Jam lyric.

You know, other than "a night bird is following you" and the phrase "in the moonlight" I'm not confident that I understand any of the words to that song.

At least you got the "following you" part. To me it was like WTF is "a night bird is falling all the time"???

In the moonlight...
Getting... wide eyed to get back
It's a... steady shore to relax
It's getting closer to the bends
In the moonlight

Giving too long a springs
A beautiful starred ceiling
A wonderful sense of being
In the moonlight

It's a long draw nearer
Darker days I've spent in
A night bird is following you all the time

Under a starlight ceiling
And darkness, you'll see
Your sense is revealed
In the moonlight

It's a love draw nearer
Darker days are spent in
A night bird is following you all the time

-rad solo-

It's a long draw nearer
Darker days are spent in
A night bird is following is you
Is following you
A night bird is following you all the time
