Violence and mayhem spread across the nation when the New Founding Fathers of America test a sociological theory that allows citizens to vent their aggression for one night in an isolated community.

I feel this is getting away from what made it great. Much like the saw movies. Its becoming more and more about the kill scenes and losing some of the emotional resonance maybe.
I also liked the first the most. But I love the concept of the sequels. There is something deeply unsettling and appealing about a movie in which people have to survive the Purge on the streets. I don't think the sequels quite "got there," but they got pretty close at times. I'd be interested to see someone like Rob Zombie direct one.
