Jesus isn’t mentioned in Genesis.

The old testament is prologue, wease.

Does it say “Jesus” in it? At all? Anywhere?

It likely means that the name Jesus is mentioned in the whole of the Bible more than any other. Genesis 1:1 to Revelations 22:21 is a reference to the entirety of the Bible.

I feel like when I was a kid I would have been told that all of the Bible is the story of Jesus.

God created the world. A bunch of people were dicks. God drowned all those people, plus their kids and all the animals. God promised not to drown everyone again. God kills his own kid, so that he forgive all the new dicks and not drown them and their kids.

I was raised Baptist. We were pretty much taught that the Old Testament was all Jew-y and that Jesus is who you worship.

At about age 10, I deduced scientifically that the dude was just a dude, and while he was a super good dude, he was just a dude nonetheless. I remember asking questions that no one could answer really, and that was that.

But the Baptists say all the answers are in the Bible. My favorite is when asked for proof that the Bible is the literal word of god, the answer is because the Bible says it is.
