I'm all in on Rondo but don't want to root against Jazz or Pels

Playoff Giannis will be far and away the best player on the court. He's been a beast against the Celtics this year. They also went 2-2 against the Celtics when they were healthy.

I'll be interested to see how teams play Simmons in the playoffs. I would think his inability to shoot beyond 4 feet will eventually be an issue.

Celtics were healthy for 4 mins this year. :(

That would be so great.

Bucks are in a weird place right now. No one on the team seems to like each other, judging by on-court body language.

I think I'm with you on all your Western predictions. It's really a shame the Warriors couldn't have drawn the Pelicans or Jazz in round 1. :shake:

East:
Raptors over Wizards in 6
Celtics over Bucks in 6
Sixers over Heat in 5
Cavs over Pacers in 6

This Warriors team has been frustrating this year. I'm not sure if they're just coasting, fatigued from previous seasons, disinterested, or a combination of everything.

I mean how could they not be uninterested in the regular season at this point? I'm sure it's all of those things plus injuries. They're STILL going to win the championship barring significant injuries, though.

If Curry can come back close to 100 percent by the end of the second round they are definitely still the favorites. I remain skeptical of the Rockets' ability to perform well under pressure.

As you should. The Rockets will have a shot but I don't trust Harden or Chris Paul. God I don't want to watch that series. I can't root for anybody on either team. Last year's Cavs team might have been able to beat this Warriors team, but now they're awful so nothing to worry about there. Maybe the Warriors realized if they did this in the regular season it would actually make the championship praise better since it changes the narrative from the "*yawn* this was predetermined" to something about how great they are and overcome blah blah blah.

A Rockets/Cavs series? Yeah, that would suck.

They sat around as a team and came up with the narrative they wanted to go with and chose rising up against adversity? No. They were just lazy this year. Period. The problem is they also had injuries. I don't expect Curry to be 100 percent until next season. Will they have enough? Probably, but they are vulnerable.

This is the most rational Warriors take you've had Verb. I agree.

I didn't mean that literally. Of course they didn't do this intentionally for a narrative. We established earlier on the page it was them being uninterested and injured. But if/when they win the narrative will play out like I described.
