What is that all about again? I remember reading about it, but I've totally forgotten.

This is cool. Have you ever listened to the Kid 17 mix?
I haven't even ever heard of whatever that is.
It probably works with any album, but I've only ever tried it with Kid A. Play two copies of the album 17 seconds apart, and the songs sync up in cool ways periodically.
:nice:

On a tangential note, have you heard Zaireeka by the Flaming Lips?

I've only seen that once in stores, but I've never bought it. I don't have enough equipment to play it anyway.

Meh. I wasn't super impressed with that. This seems to be a lot more intentional on the band's part, and as a result some of these songs transition better than on the original albums.

I don't feel like either are intentional, but both seem to do the job when it comes to soundtracks to internet sessions. Paranoid Androoid>Bodysnatchers is great.

We did that in college about a year after the album came out. It was pretty cool, although one of our stereos was a boombox and the other was a discman with mini speakers hooked to it

Pretty much the same thing I did. It was great.

But I still listen to individual discs from time to time. It's a good listen.

That's what's so cool about that project to me, though. Not only are the musical combinations wide and varied, the production combinations are too!

I haven't gotten that far yet, but it's safe to say that each of these transitions is going to wet my whistle.

About a quarter of the way into this thing I tend to forget which songs belong on which album, and these are two albums that I know by heart.

The In Rainbows-Ok Computer thing is a cool little find, but I highly doubt that it's intentional. Listen to just about any two albums spliced together with a 10-second crossfade between the songs and your mind is going to come up with dozens of reasons as to why it's clearly intentional.
