On Jedi council Napzok said he’s heard there’s a completed script for Kenobi. They’re saying LFL are waiting to see how Solo does before announcing anything.

I’d say if it tanks (it won’t) a Kenobi announcement would see everyone even the most vocal angry bastards, get back on board.

I guess we'd have to agree on what would be the definition of "tank" in Star Wars movie terms. Would SOLO doing 400 million (domestic) be considering "tanking"?

Any other movie that isn't marvel or star wars doing 400 million would probably be thrilled.

I’m sure that it will be compared to Rogue One, both in quality and success.

Solo is up against truly insane competition. It could be an amazing film and still struggle with what it’s up against.
That said I’d say somewhere between 600-900 globally and they’d be happy.

These other films including Kenobi are coming either way I’d say.

Also a report out there saying Disney have actually hired directors and writers both female and people of colour but aren’t announcing it given the hate and racist stuff Rian Johnson and Kelly Marie tran both had to deal with so they’re not announcing them til a later date

Yeah, May is insane.

Avengers on the 4th, Deadpool 2 on the 18th, and Solo on the 25th. And then, as far as legs go, Incredibles 2 is on June 15th and Jurassic World is on the 22nd.

Well I could also put the movies that aren't sequels if that will help.

Knew Lucas wasn’t in Belfast for a holiday. But why is he involved?

Not being Kenobi makes sense, but they already said that the GOT guys were not interested in a tv series.

KENNedy said the Underworld scripts are still on the table.
No reason to think they have t been farmed if the best elects for a trilogy.

One of the guys on the SWNN pod saying he was told Ewan signed the contract for Obi wan, months ago.
Baseless from our POV but some news on it is better than none imo

I think this movie is coming at the right time. While Last Jedi split people down the middle, this should appease the old school fans a general star war fans. Rogue one was fantastic, and this has the same look and feel of the inbetween era of the prequels and the original moves. I have faith that Ron Howard was able to put together a good movie. We need this to do good if we want a Kenobi movie.

Also rumoured that production begins January/February 2019. This would be right after ep9 has finished shooting and would tie into the way TFA/Rogue one/TLJ were all in production at the same time and shot back to back with gaps of only a few weeks.

He's not publishing bullshit, though. He's reporting on a story that was put out at the time by THR. But that was eight months ago and there's been nothing since. This is really old news and doesn't spark any new hope in me.

There’s always hope. It’s all we have for this right now.

Hopefully Solo knocks it out of the park and this gets going
