Holy fuck. Cranston reciting Shelley may be one of the most badass things I've ever heard.

Re-visiting the season five finale, did you guys believe Walt when he told Skylar that he was out?
We did not see him cut ties with anyone, nor does it seem like it would be that easy for him to have done so. The Walt we know wouldn't even want out. The only way it would make sense is if we read the scene when he reminisces with Jesse and the good old days as Walt admitting that the business finally functioning perfectly does not actually interest him after all. Which is something we already sort of knew: it hasn't been about the money for a long time. Its been about his pride and it's been about the danger.

i was under the impression that the cancer was back. it seemed to me he went in for his screening and then showed up at jesse's to give him his $5 million and also told skylar he was out. my thought was he was going to try to make things as right as possible before his end.The Argonaut wrote:Re-visiting the season five finale, did you guys believe Walt when he told Skylar that he was out?

They showed an AWFUL lot of cooking sequences, however 1000 gallons would take a long time to cook through (not knowing the metric conversions I'm just taking a guess).daft twat wrote:i was under the impression that the cancer was back. it seemed to me he went in for his screening and then showed up at jesse's to give him his $5 million and also told skylar he was out. my thought was he was going to try to make things as right as possible before his end.The Argonaut wrote:Re-visiting the season five finale, did you guys believe Walt when he told Skylar that he was out?

So I'm guessing the cancer is back and Todd is gonna cook out the methylamine. He'll do a shit job and Declan will want Walt back.

I'm almost the pinnacle of Breaking Bad nerdery, so don't feel ashamed.Monkey_Driven wrote:I don't remember much of season 5.fishbob wrote:They showed an AWFUL lot of cooking sequences, however 1000 gallons would take a long time to cook through (not knowing the metric conversions I'm just taking a guess).daft twat wrote:i was under the impression that the cancer was back. it seemed to me he went in for his screening and then showed up at jesse's to give him his $5 million and also told skylar he was out. my thought was he was going to try to make things as right as possible before his end.The Argonaut wrote:Re-visiting the season five finale, did you guys believe Walt when he told Skylar that he was out?

Here are some crackpot theories that are floating around:
1. Every time Walt kills somebody he picks up one of their habits
Crazy 8 and the sandwich crusts, Gus and his demeanor, Mike and rocks in his scotch. So the flash forward shows Walt piecing together his bacon for his age, a habit Skylar had. Also he takes on her maiden name on the fake ID. Also he picks up the gun from a Volvo that Gus famously drives, and transfers it to the same style of car that...Saul drove.
Take home: Walt might kill Skylar inadvertently.
2. Hank kills himself
Many hints towards this, not limited to his trouble with PTSD/anxiety. When they raid Mike's house there's a tv show on in the background with police investigating a police suicide, and a scene where Hank leaves Walt in his office at the DEA he pretends to shoot himself in the head.
3. Every time the ricin is almost used, the person dies more horribly
See Tuco, Gus, the drug dealers (I'm sure there's others). Anywho, in season 5A Walt almost uses the ricin to kill Lydia. So Lydia will probably die horribly OR get them in heaps of shit ala Tuco (she uses a quote "we're going to make a lot of money together" that Tuco uses in Season 1, and not killing her can be seen as a pretty big "Half Measure" on Mike's part).
I'm sure there's more but I'm procrastinating at the moment

You don't have to spoiler theories. None of us know for sure what's going to happen.
