Video Game Guilty Pleasures

I played more Binding of Isaac this past year on Switch than I'm willing to admit...

Both of the games mentioned so far are really good games. Are you ashamed because you played so many hours or that you played a bad game more than you should?

It's not a bad game but I'm ashamed that I played it more than any other game on Switch. I guess it's the simplicity. I can pick it up and set it down so easily.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

All the Maddens. I can get so hooked on these stupid games. I play online matches and get pretty good (I broke the top 20 in the world several times) and get so competitive it can be enraging. I almost broke my controller once. Madden is maddening. I'm taking a long break for now.

What was the last one you played? I got burnt out on football games.

Because it's so cutesy. I was never ashamed to play a bad game.

It's very cutesy. That Tom Nook is an asshole though.

I hope the future Switch Animal Crossing mixes up the formula a bit. It's pretty much been the same game since the Gamecube version.

I also play every new one and make a new franchise. Currently rocking out the Bills. Love their uniforms.

I don't believe in "guilty pleasures" but Soldier of Fortune: Payback comes to mind

I always feel like I could have been doing something more productive. I'm obsessive with games though. I can't just play for an hour and then put it down.

I'm kinda like this too. I rationalize it by reminding myself I have to be extroverted at my both my jobs and it's much-needed me time, but I also think I just like the escapism. The real world sucks a lot of the time.
