Not usually. But I have to complete every side quest and make sure I didn't miss any secret stuff. Oddly, the last game I played all the way through, Inside, was maybe an exception.
I finished that in about a weekend (which is still too long for me), didn't feel like I was just getting my addictive behavior exploited, and actually got something from the story/world.
I wish more games were like that.
