Post by Jammer XCI »

What were some of your favorites?

Tekken, Metal Gear Solid, Crash Bandicoot, Resident Evil, these games are still worth a revisit.

The controls on PS1 Resident Evil games did not age well.

There are more, but can't quite remember yet. It's been a long time and a few consoles in between.

Incidentally, I gave my old PS1 to my kids a few years ago and they loved it. I packed it away when they got the Wii and Xbox 360, but they've since asked if they can play the PS1 again. :)

I loved a lot of those JRPG games like Final Fantasy. I have Xenogears still, but I miss Wild Arms, The Legend of Dragoon and Chrono Cross.

The hardest PS1 game I’ve ever played is the 1997 Frogger, holy fuck that game gets insanely difficult outside of the road crossing throwback levels.
