Unhealthy Video Game Obsessions / Actions
I have spare systems of NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii, WiiU, Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast, PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox360. Fuck, I still need a spare PS1.

I nearly broke my PS4 controller a couple times cause of how maddening competitive Madden is to me. I'm currently in an indefinite hiatus from Madden games.

Buying even a few card packs for Blizzard's Hearthstone was definitely unhealthy. What the fuck was I thinking?

Unhealthy obsession with almost any game I play, but especially RPGs and strategy games, and especially especially Europa Universalis.
Broke a few controllers as a kid, but I'm over that now.

Re: Unhealthy Video Game Obsessions / Actions
All of the people I've talked to who enjoy Europa Universalis/Crusader Kings/Civilization seem to have 500+ hours logged on Steam at a minimum. It's as though you're either completely consumed by that shit, or not interested at all. There's no middle ground, apparently.
I think for me it'd definitely be RTS games; Starcraft 2, Age of Empires 2 & 3 - I've definitely played more hours than I'd care to admit.

EU is basically the game that made me stop playing games. I would play all day every day.Ello Sailor wrote:All of the people I've talked to who enjoy Europa Universalis/Crusader Kings/Civilization seem to have 500+ hours logged on Steam at a minimum. The learning curve is massive, but I could adjust tax sliders all day.
Makes Civilisation play like a game for little babies.

Yeah, I do fuck all gaming these days due to the time sink. But then some days I will lose hours to reddit and not think twice about it. Its weird how that works.
