HaHA I advise against that! Yes, blocking is vital and rolling out of the way is important after you see the red flash. Don't forget about Atreus' arrows. They help a lot with the witches.Monkey_Driven wrote:Sometimes I just smash buttons and then think "how the hell did I just do that." I hate the witches. Yeah, I have him fire away. They're hard to keep track of when there are two of them.tree_ wrote:HaHA I advise against that! Re: God of War (PS4)
Apparently, it's all pretty closely based on Norse mythology. The tree in the center of the universe, the nine realms, all the gods and their stories. This just makes it all that much more enjoyable. I love it so much. I didn't know anything about the previous GoW games until I read their plots the other day. So much to nerd out about. I'm gonna have to play those some day.

Great gameplay, but don't expect much in the story/character development department.tree_ wrote:Apparently, it's all pretty closely based on Norse mythology. Never mind, then. I'll just leave it at reading their plots on wikipedia.Monkey_Driven wrote:Great gameplay, but don't expect much in the story/character development department.tree_ wrote:Apparently, it's all pretty closely based on Norse mythology. Re: God of War (PS4)
I did not know this.
Odin was known in Old English as Wōden, in Old Saxon as Wōdan, and in Old High German as Wuotan or Wōtan, all stemming from the reconstructed Proto-Germanic *wōđanaz. The modern English weekday name Wednesday bears the god’s name. (Old English: Wōdnesdæg - “Wōden’s day”).

I'm at a place where I think I am just going to explore and do side stuff for a long time. I'm going to put off ending the main story as long as I can.

Skyrim.
Pretty sure Bethesda was the first to come out with a game with Norse gods/characters/storyline.

My son is playing this, and there are some cut scenes that truly stun me.

Re: God of War (PS4)
I guess I've been doing a lot more side stuff than I thought. Just checked a walkthrough to see how far I am and I'm only about 40 percent through the main story. This game is huge and wonderful.

I just want to compliment the developers/marketing one more time for keeping so much of this game under wraps.
