I think I'm gonna try to hold a conservative (8:00/mile) pace for the first 15 miles where all the hills and boring stretches of the course are, then hit the gas for miles 16-26.2. Hopefully end up averaging around 7:45/mile. The last 10 miles are all downhill, I'll see my family twice during that stretch, and they'll have a bunch of music and and shit downtown near the end to look forward to. Starting to get hyped.
You got this, bro.

Felt like shit today knowing I DNS'd a claasic race like Zane Grey.

I punished myself by drinking and eating way too much.

I easily consumed 6K calories today.

Summer hibernation has started early. Three 10s a week and speed work every other week.

Let the fattening begin!

Looking to buy some new running/walking shoes. What do you all recommend in the $100 range?

Once my cat dies I'm going to start my marathon plan. Small build for May then into the 18 week plan. I'm going to go to some dark ass places. Probably cry during my runs.

In PHX, the bulk of ultra season is October through April. But even during the summer, there are night races.

Tried to run my typical lunch 5k today at my typical route around the neighborhood. I surprisingly had to stop and walk some of it for the first time since JULY. weird

Marathon weekend is finally here. Feeling good. Weather looks perfect. I've narrowed my list of anxieties down to "suffer potentially fatal bee sting." Lots of bees out right now. Other than that, good to go.
