The Navy Bean story...

Post by Superblood Wolfmoon »

It's kinda funny to me that after all the shows I've been to, all the trading I used to do back in the day, that a troll post on the old Message Pit created a piece of Pearl Jam lore that is still around to this day.

I don't know why of all those fake song titles I made up that Navy Bean was the only one to take on a life of its own. It's actually listed on the Italian PJ page as a song they worked on

Anyway, it's funny to me that it still pops up after 13 fucking years. I guess it would be the ultimate fan moment if they somehow knew about it, or have been asked by fans if they're ever going to release it. Here's where it all started:

And, just sayin', the guy who invented Navy Bean ought to be in the RM HOF next time around. ;)

Man, I remember that thread from all those years ago. But I didn’t remember that was you. Thanks for the way back machine. By the way, I just mentioned Navy Bean in the 11th album thread a few days ago

Nice job Meatwad. Frylock is proud.

I never believed that was a real title... But I did hear Last Soldier many times and sure as hell always looked forward to a studio's recording...

DMB is about to release a long overdo album with 4 different producers and songs I can only imagine range as far back as the 2000s... PJ could easily do a double disc of outtakes b sides and new shit. I wouldn't kick that outta bed!

I did not know/remember that was you, meatwad, but that brings back the lulz. I think it worked so well because it was believable and we were all craving, I think, for any new news.

I peaked over at the RM HoF thread(s). We can't call any of these really legit lists, as there are so many missing folks from 02, 03 era.

I think I know why it was dropped from the 2006 release schedule:
