It’s not going to help them to tear it down. It’s a 3-5 year waste (at least) where basketball is horrible. They’re a good team in the Lebron James era. Stay they course, try to add talent like Houston did, like OKC, be interesting.

Suck until it works is bad for everyone, and it hurts the league. Most of the east could just cease to operate right now and no one would notice.

A large part of my very flawed logic in picking the Raptors was that I was skeptical that LeBron "being in Toronto's head" was really a thing. The Cavs were really, really good two years ago, and last year even though their defense was awful, their offense was insanely good. So I'm over here thinking the mental stuff is just a weak narrative to explain the better team (with the hands down best player in the series) beating a good but inferior team.

I. Was. Wrong.

I also dislike narratives about guys choking in the playoffs or shrinking from the moment, but man it's really tough to argue that doesn't describe DeRozan and Lowry. Maybe their particular games are just better suited to regular season basketball than the playoffs or something, but their annual implosion in the playoffs is unbelievable.

I dislike narratives about people letting their dislike of narratives inform their decisions/opinions.

Some people don't perform well under pressure, it's not an unusual phenomenon.

Raptors shouldn't blow it up. It does seem like they need another star though if they want to truly go for it. I feel like Lowry and DeRozan should be second or third options on a great team.

Investing so much in Ibaka was a big mistake.

Refused to check in during garbage time last night. He's been trash, not sure why he thinks he deserves important minutes in the playoff rotation.
