Semi final round has been pretty boring outside of watching LeBron be great.

It has other than the two OT games on Saturday. Conference finals are shaping up to be great though...hopefully.verb_to_trust wrote:Semi final round has been pretty boring outside of watching LeBron be great.

Conspiracy Theory time. That's why the NBA assigned their "fixer" refs to the last Sixers/Celtics games. One of them was Tim Donaghy's buddy (Donaghy has a betting website and 75% of his NBA bets are when this one ref is involved) and the other the Celtics are 0-8 in playoff games when he refs. They need to extend these series or else they have to give money back to the networks like last year.

Or the Sixers are good enough to at least steal one game on their home floor, idk. Embiid and the Sixers in general did a lot of complaining about the number of fouls he had drawn in the first 3 games and that sort of complaining seems to work in the playoffs sometimes. Or maybe the Celtics got caught playing with their food.bada wrote:Monkey_Driven wrote:It has other than the two OT games on Saturday. How do you think they'll (potentially) matchup against the Cavs?verb_to_trust wrote:The Celtics aren't good enough for me to believe that theory.

Yeah, I'm going to call BS on the conspiracy talk. The series could easily be 2-2 and it doesn't have anything to do with the refs.verb_to_trust wrote:The Celtics aren't good enough for me to believe that theory.

Yep. The Sixers threw up all over themselves at the end of game 3 in regulation and OT. They easily woulda/coulda/shoulda won that game.Monkey_Driven wrote:Yeah, I'm going to call BS on the conspiracy talk. Certainly better than the Raptors. 1-5 they can defend and switch. It will be harder on LeBron than him beasting OG.4/5 wrote:How do you think they'll (potentially) matchup against the Cavs?verb_to_trust wrote:The Celtics aren't good enough for me to believe that theory.

Embiid hasn't been good, which sucks. He can't defend the pick and roll. Celtics just run right by him.

He looks out of shape at the end of games and relies way too much on posting up, despite it not working at all.verb_to_trust wrote:Embiid hasn't been good, which sucks. He can't defend the pick and roll. Celtics just run right by him.

The bigger problem for the Sixers has been that Boston successfully defended Simmons' non-jump shot having self. For all the genius talk, Stevens is doing what Miami tried to do, but failed because Whiteside gets out of position and loafs. They sag off Simmons and then have a center waiting for him at the FT line and make him pass. When Miami sagged off him he was getting dunks, but not against the Celtics.

This, yet, every game has been pretty close. The Sixers are learning a lot in this series and these teams will likely have many more years of May playoff matchups.4/5 wrote:This is what I was going to say.Monkey_Driven wrote:He looks out of shape at the end of games and relies way too much on posting up, despite it not working at all.verb_to_trust wrote:Embiid hasn't been good, which sucks.
